Traffic on Route 362, from Mosher Hill north for about one kilometre, will be reduced to one lane for paving and shoulder repairs from Monday, Aug. 30, until Sunday, Oct. 31.

Route 201 from Old Mill Road in South Farmington, east for about 500 metres will be reduced to one lane for paving and shoulder repairs from Monday, Aug. 30 until Sunday, Oct. 31.

Spa Springs Road, from Route 362 to the bridge 500 metres west of the Route 221 intersection, will be reduced to one lane for paving and shoulder repairs from Monday, Aug. 30 until Sunday, Oct. 31.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Trunk 10

Trunk 10, from Route 201 in Nictaux south to Varnier Mountain Road, will be reduced to one lane for paving and shoulder repairs from Monday, Aug. 30, until Sunday. Oct. 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102

Highway 102, between Exit 12 at Brookfield and Exit 13, will be reduced to one lane for crack filling until Friday, Sept. 3.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101

Drivers on Highway 101, between Exit 24 (Bear River) and Exit 26 (Digby), should be prepared for heavier traffic volumes during the annual Wharf Rat Motorcycle Rally from Wednesday, Sept. 1 to Monday, Sept. 6.

A large number of vehicles turning off at Exit 26 may cause traffic to back up onto Highway 101. Traffic control people will be on site during the peak arrival time (Saturday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) encouraging drivers to slow down and proceed carefully.

Construction on the Bear River Bridge may also contribute to traffic congestion. Drivers are asked to use caution.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102 Northbound Lanes

On Sunday, Aug. 29, northbound traffic on Highway 102 at Exit 9 (Milford) will be closed for five, 15-minute intervals between 6 a.m. and noon to place girders for a new overpass.

The northbound on-ramp from Trunk 14 onto Highway 102 will be closed for the six-hour period. Traffic will be detoured to Exit 10.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trunk 4

Highway 104, from Charles MacLean Road east to Reeves Road, will be reduced to one lane for road repairs until Thursday, Sept. 30.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trunk 30, Cabot Trail

Trunk 30 (Cabot Trail), from East Big Interval Road for about 2.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving, shoulder work, and guardrail repairs until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Traffic control people and a pilot vehicle are on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Black Rock Road

Traffic on Black Rock Road will be reduced to one lane at the Highway 101 overpass for overpass repairs. Traffic signals are in place until the end of September.

Drivers should expect delays and travel with extra caution in the construction zone.

Kings County: Morden Road

Morden Road, from Brow of Mountain Road to McNally Road, will be closed to replace a culvert from Monday, Aug. 30 until Monday, Sept. 6.

A detour is in place.

Pictou County: MacKay Road Closure

Beginning Monday, Aug. 30, MacKay Road will be permanently closed at the Trans Canada Highway. Traffic from MacKay road between Trunk 4 at Linacy, and Route 347 at Coalburn, will have to use an alternate route.

Highway 101, west of Exit 22 for about nine kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for guardrail replacement, patching and paving until Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Victoria Bridge on Highway 101 will be reduced to one lane for repairs and paving until Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Route 201, from Morse Road west to Paradise Lane, will be reduced to one lane for ditching and pipe installation until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Trunk 10 at North Ridge Road, about five kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culvert replacement, patching and paving until Sunday, Oct. 31. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, Havre Boucher Overpasses

Frankville Road and Linwood Road overpasses, on Highway 104 near Havre Boucher, have alternating lane closures for concrete repairs, joint replacement, waterproofing, until Wednesday, Sept. 15.

There will be timed lights at both overpasses to assist drivers through the construction zone but delays are expected. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Drivers can use Trunk 4 as an alternate route between Exit 37 (Monastery) and Exit 38 (Havre Boucher).

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337, Canal Bridge

During construction of a new Canal Bridge on Main Street in Antigonish, traffic on Route 337 is being rerouted to a temporary detour bridge.

The temporary bridge will be in place until Friday, Dec. 31.

Gardiner Road, for about four kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, pipe work and paving until Sunday, Oct. 31.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Grand Lake Road

There are lane reductions on Grand Lake Road from the traffic signals at Central Supplies to the entrance to Mayflower Mall for repaving.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset and is scheduled to be finished by the end of October. Drivers should travel with extra care in the area.

Highway 125, for about 5.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for construction until Sunday, Oct. 31.

There is a detour on Keltic Drive. Traffic control people and a vehicle are on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Keltic Drive

Keltic Drive, from the tracks east for 20 kilometres to Sydney River Bridge, will be reduced to one lane for milling, upgrading and repaving until Wednesday, Sept. 15.

Traffic control personnel and a vehicle will be on site. Detour route: Highway 125 to Exit 5 and 6. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

Sections of Trunk 4, from Meadows Road west to St. Mary's Church, are reduced to one lane for paving until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Trunk 4, from 1.3 kilometres east of Cape Breton/Richmond County will be reduced to one lane for about five kilometres for paving and bridge repairs until Tuesday, Nov. 30.

Trunk 22, from about two kilometres north of Catalone Gut Road, south for about six kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104

Until Tuesday, Aug. 31, sections of the east and westbound lanes of Highway 104 along the Cobequid Pass, will be reduced to one lane, for patching between the toll plaza and Exit 12 at Masstown.

Traffic on both sides of the Cobequid Pass toll plaza may also be reduced to one lane for road repairs and micro-surfacing.

Drivers should watch for signs and drive with caution. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Mines Bass River Road will be closed for bridge repairs until Friday, Jan. 31, 2011.

Route 326 from Earltown to MacBains Corner will be reduced to one lane for ditching, installation of cross culverts, widening, cold planing and paving until Thursday, Sept. 30.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Trunk 2

Traffic on sections of Trunk 2 between the Truro town line and Kennedy Road will be reduced to one lane for repaving.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset until the end of October. Drivers should expect delays or use an alternate route if possible.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fox Harbour Bridge

The Fox Harbour Bridge on Ferry Road, near Wallace, will be closed to traffic starting Monday, Sept. 30.

A temporary, one-lane detour bridge will be opened at that time to serve drivers in the area during repairs to the regular bridge.

Traffic crossing the detour bridge will be controlled by traffic signals. Drivers should travel with caution and be prepared for delays.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Highway 104

Traffic on sections of the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 104 between the Cobequid Pass toll plaza and Exit 8 (Westchester Station) will be reduced to one lane for road repairs and micro-surfacing until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Motorists should drive with caution in the construction zone and watch for signs and traffic control people.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Northport Bridge

Northport Bridge on Route 366 is closed until Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, for replacement.

Detour from Shinimicas Road to the east of the bridge and Mudcreek Road to the west of the bridge. Cyclists should travel with caution.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Trunk 4

A 6.5-kilometre section of Trunk 4 from Wentworth Collingwood Road to Barclay Loop will be reduced to one lane for cold planing, repaving and bridge repairs until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends if required.

Lewiston Road Bridge in Ashmore will be reduced to one lane for a windmill project until Wednesday, Sept. 1. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h and warning signs are in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Trunk 7

Traffic on sections of Trunk 7 is reduced to one lane east from the intersection of MacKinley Point Loop to allow for repaving until Thursday, Sept 30.

Traffic will be directed by traffic control people and a pilot vehicle. Motorists should drive with caution and patience through the construction area.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Larry Uteck Interchange

Traffic on Highway 102 at the Larry Uteck Interchange will be restricted to three lanes instead of four while new ramps are being built.

The closed lane will vary depending on the time. Two lanes will be open for inbound traffic in the morning and outbound traffic in the evening.

Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

Shore Club Road will be closed at the entrance to Trunk 3 for road repairs until Monday, Aug. 30.

North Foord Street, south of the ramps from Highway 104, is restricted to one lane for roundabout construction at the Foord Street, Exit 24 intersection until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Highway 104, east bound lane, abouty 200 metres past Exit 25, will be reduced to 80 kilometre to complete work related to the Highway 104 Twinning Project until Friday, Sept.10.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

On Friday, Aug. 20, traffic on Highway 104 near Exit 27 in Sutherlands River, will be diverted to a newly built 450-metre detour around the construction zone.

Delays are expected as the changeover occurs but two-lane traffic will be maintained once the detour is in use.

A speed limit of 70 km/h remains in place through the construction zone. The detour is expected to be in place until October.

Traffic on sections of the westbound lanes of Highway 104 in the New Glasgow, Stellarton, Westville area is reduced to one lane to allow for patching and resurfacing.

Work is taking place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Wednesday, Sept. 15. Drivers should travel with extra caution through the construction area.

Victoria County/Inverness County: Road Closures

The Salmon River Bridge and Bay Saint Lawrence Road are closed to traffic because of damage from heavy rain. Staff continue to assess damage to other roads and motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
