Road Condition Update:

Victoria County:

• Corsons bridge in Ingonish on the Cabot Trail has re-opened to local and emergency traffic only.
• Effie's Brook to Neils Harbour (near South Mountain) in Cape Breton Highlands National Park is closed
• Cabot Trail at intersection of Dingwall Road remains closed to traffic, but is accessible to emergency vehicles only
• Southridge Road in Cape North is closed
• Barron Road in Ingonish is closed

Inverness County:

• A section of Cabot Trail in Margaree is now open to escorted traffic, caution required because of a mud slide and flooding
• East Margaree road is closed near Doyles bridge
• East Big Intervale Road in Margaree is closed at Fish Hatchery
• East Big Interavle Road, gravel section is closed at second bridge
• Crantons Cross Road and bridge in Margaree are closed
• Third Chapel Bridge in Inverness at the Cabot Trail and East Margaree is closed because of flood damage
• Route 252 has re-opened to traffic.

Road and bridge assessments continue. Motorists should use caution and avoid travelling in flooded areas.
