Comment Deadline for Environment Act Extended

Nova Scotians are being given two more weeks to comment on proposed changes to the Environment Act.

The deadline for written comment is now Sept. 6.

"We have heard people's concerns over the timing of the consultation, which is why we are extending the deadline by two weeks," said Environment Minister Sterling Belliveau. "This is a government that listens to Nova Scotians."

The department will review all comments received during the consultation. Proposed changes are expected tabled during the fall session of the legislature.
