Nova Scotia Police Long Service Awards Presented

Justice Minister and Attorney General Ross Landry recognized long-serving police officers from across Nova Scotia today, Sept. 28, for contributions to law enforcement.

Mr. Landry presented Nova Scotia Provincial Police Long Service Awards at a ceremony in Halifax to 43 recipients and recognized another person for many years of work in crime prevention.

"This is a tremendous accomplishment and I extend my sincere thanks to all of the recipients for the loyal and distinguished service they have provided to this province," said Mr. Landry.

"We are very fortunate to have such dedicated people protecting the streets and communities of Nova Scotia."

The provincial award program recognizes police officers who have served in the province for 15 and 25 consecutive years. This is the fourth year for the program.
