CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Leitches Creek Bridge

Leitches Creek Bridge on Route 305 (Keltic Drive) will be closed for deck repairs from Monday, Oct. 31 until Friday, Nov. 18.

Detour on Highway 125.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Lane Closures, Canso Causeway

Starting Monday, Oct. 31, traffic on Highway 104 on the Canso Causeway will be reduced to one lane from sunset to sunrise for guardrail installation and shoulder improvements.

Traffic control staff and a pilot vehicle will guide drivers safely through the construction zone.

Work is scheduled for completion on Thursday, Dec. 15. Please drive with extra care and patience during the construction period.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102

Highway 102, from Highway 102/118 Bridge, north for about five kilometres will be reduced to one lane from Monday, Oct. 31 until Friday, Nov. 4.

Work takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Clarence Road, from Fitch Road intersection west for three kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culvert replacement, milling, patching and shouldering until Monday, Oct. 31.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101, from Exit 23A to Mary Jane Riley Road, will be reduced to one lane for reconstruction of ramps until Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Traffic control is on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Mary Jane Riley Road

Mary Jane Riley Road over Highway 101 will be reduced to one lane for paving, pipe installation and guardrail work until Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Trunk 8, from Virginia Road intersection south for three kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for road work until Monday, Oct. 31.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Trunk 10

Trunk 10, from Crisp Road intersection south for 4.5 kilometres, and from West Dalhousie Road intersection south for 9.3 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culvert replacement and paving until Monday, Oct. 31.

Lower South River Bridge will be reduced to one lane until Oct. 31 to construct a bailey bridge.

A detour replaces the lower south river bridge and approaches until Aug. 31, 2012.

Route 245, from Arisaig Point Road, west for about 3.5 kilometres, will have alternating lane closures for ditching, culvert work and paving until Monday, Oct. 31.

William's Point Road will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Monday, Oct. 31.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 125

Part of Exit 7 on Highway 125 will have a one-lane closure for construction of a new bridge until Aug. 31, 2012.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 125, Exit 4

The off ramp at Exit 4, westbound is now open. Lane closures will be in place during daylight hours to complete the shoulder and any remaining cleanup until Monday, Oct. 31.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Hillside Road

Sections of Hillside Road will be reduced to one lane until Monday, Oct. 31, for repaving north from the intersection of Route 327. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Route 216

Route 216, from Trunk 4, west for about seven kilometres will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Monday, Oct. 31.

Work takes place from dawn to dusk.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trout Brook Road

Sections of Trout Brook Road will be reduced to one lane until Friday, Nov. 4, for repaving west from the intersection of Trunk 22. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

CAPE BRETON COUNTY: Upper Leitches Creek Road

Traffic on sections of Upper Leitches Creek Road is reduced to one lane to allow for repaving from the intersection of Leitches Creek Road for about five kilometres until Monday, Oct. 31.

Delays are possible. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Eagle Drive

Eagle Drive, from Salmon River Road to its end, will be closed for paving and sidewalk repairs until Monday, Oct. 31.

A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER/CUMBERLAND COUNTIES: Folly Mountain

Baseline Road, eight kilometres south of the Cumberland/Colchester county line, will be reduced to one lane for paving, gravelling and shouldering until Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104, Westbound Lanes

Beginning Monday, Oct. 3, the westbound lanes of Highway 104 in the Kemptown area will be reduced to one lane from Exit 18 to Exit 18A for repaving and widening. Work will take place until Monday, Oct. 31.

Drivers should travel with extra caution in the area.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Allan Hill and South Branch Roads

Allan Hill and South Branch roads in the Advocate area have a weight restriction of five tonnes until further notice.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fields Bridge

Improvements are being made to the Fields Bridge on Shulie Road, but it will be open during construction. The work takes place until Nov. 15, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Mountain Bridge

Mountain Bridge on the Mountain Road, near River Phillip, will be closed for repairs until further notice.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h and warning signs are in place.

Route 316, between Middle Country Harbour and Stormont, will have alternating lane closures for ditching, draining pipes, patching and paving until Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Traffic control and a pilot vehicle are on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

Route 316, from 4.7 kilometres west of Trunk 16 to about one kilometre west of the White Head Road, will have alternating lane closures for upgrading, cold planing an repaving until Monday, Oct. 31.

Trunk 30 (Cabot Trail) from about a half a kilometre south of Brazile Road for about 6.5 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for upgrading, planing and asphalt concrete patching until Monday, Oct. 31.

Pilot vehicles and traffic control on site. Work will take place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Murrays Hill Bridge, which crosses the Mabou River near Rankinville Road, is closed until further notice.

Trunk 19, for 6.5 kilometres from Campbell's Road to south of Chishom Road, and River Deny's Road, for about two kilometres from Trunk 19, will be reduced to one lane for cold planing and asphalt repairs until Monday, Oct. 31.

A pilot vehicle and traffic control people will be on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Bridge Closure

Traffic on the Busby McMahon Bridge on Brooklyn Street, near Aylesford, is reduced to one lane until further notice. Traffic lights are in place.

Cambridge Road, from Trunk 1 north to Brooklyn Street, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Monday, Oct. 31.

There will be periodic lane closures. Expect delays. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Gladys Porter Bridge

Gladys Porter Bridge in Port Williams is reduced to one lane for bridge rehabilitation until Monday, Oct. 31.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

Two temporary intersections are in use on Highway 104, Trans-Canada Highway, near Sutherlands River.

One is about 70 metres west of the Exit 27A intersection. To access Trunk 4, use this temporary intersection.

The other intersection is on School Road in front of East Pictou Middle School. To access School Road, including F. H. MacDonald Elementary School and East Pictou Middle School, use this temporary intersection.

Sections of West Bay Highway (Dundee Road), east from County Line Road, will be reduced to one lane until Monday, Oct. 31, for paving.

Traffic on the MacLeod Angus Bridge in South Harbour over the South Aspy River on the Cabot Trail, is reduced to one lane until further notice. Traffic signals are in place at the bridge.

Hurlburt Falls Bridge on Lake Vaughan Road will be closed for repairs. It is expected to reopen Friday, Nov. 4.
