Offender Back in Custody

A man who escaped from a sheriff's van this morning, Jan. 15, in Halifax Regional Municipality has turned himself into police.
Thomas Arnold Jones, 48, was arrested in Dartmouth at about 1:30 p.m.
He escaped custody at about 9:30 a.m., while being taken to Dartmouth provincial court.
The Justice Department is investigating the incident.
