Time to Move Clocks Forward

Justice

Nova Scotians will experience more sunlight in the evenings when daylight savings time begins Sunday, March 11.

People are reminded to set their clocks ahead one hour at 2 a.m., or Saturday evening before they go to bed.

Watches and clocks aren't the only items that need adjustment -- microwave ovens, DVD players, car clocks and automatic timer lights need to be turned ahead, too.

This is also a good time to change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Smoke detectors should be tested monthly and replaced every 10 years.
