Vital Statistics Office Moving to New Location

Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations (Oct. 2000 - March 2014)

The Vital Statistics office is moving to the Halifax Access Centre in Bayers Lake Business Park, 300 Horseshoe Dr. on Monday, June 4.

The current office at 1690 Hollis St., Halifax will be closed Friday, June 1 for the move.

"I am confident the new office space will meet the needs of our clients," said Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations Minister John MacDonell. "Many of our services are available online and do not require direct counter service with clients. We chose the new location as there was available space at the Halifax Access Centre."

Vital Statistics is moving from the current location as the province has sold the building and all tenants have been asked to vacate. The new location is accessible by public transit and has free parking.

Vital Statistics provides birth, marriage and death certificates. Online services are available at www.gov.ns.ca/snsmr/access/vitalstats
