Province Congratulates Scotsburn Dairy on Becoming Exclusive Supplier

Economic and Rural Development and Tourism (Jan. 2011 - April 2015)

Economic and Rural Development Minister Percy Paris congratulated Scotsburn Dairy today, July 18, for becoming the exclusive supplier of ice cream for Canadian Baskin-Robbins shops.

"Today's decision reinforces that this province is a great place to live, work and raise a family," said Mr. Paris. "Nova Scotia is very pleased that Baskin-Robbins is expanding its relationship with Scotsburn, which is a tremendous endorsement of the high-quality products produced by the company."

The ice cream will be made at Scotsburn's Truro facility, which already produces Baskin-Robbins ice cream products. This will result in more employment and lower operating costs at the plant.

Nova Scotia helps create the conditions for businesses to thrive through jobsHere, the plan to grow the province's economy.

"Nova Scotia has a competitive advantage, and is an ideal location for national and international companies to do business. Baskin-Robbins' decision drives that home," said Mr. Paris.
