Time to Change Clocks

Justice

Nova Scotians will gain an extra hour of sleep on Sunday, Nov. 4, when daylight savings time ends.

Justice Minister Ross Landry is reminding people to set their clocks behind one hour at 2 a.m., or Saturday evening before they go to bed.

Clocks are not the only items that need adjusting -- microwave ovens, car clocks, automatic timer lights, mobile devices, computers and other household devices all need to be turned back.

This is also a good opportunity to change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Smoke detectors should be tested monthly and replaced every 10 years.
