Time to Move Clocks Forward Sunday, March 10

Justice

Nova Scotians will have more sunlight in the evenings when daylight savings time begins Sunday, March 10.

Justice Minister Ross Landry is reminding people to set their clocks ahead one hour at 2 a.m., or Saturday evening before they go to bed.

Watches and clocks are not the only items that need adjustment - microwaves and ovens, electronic devices, car clocks and automatic timer lights need to be turned ahead.

This is also a good time to clean dryer vents to prevent fires, and change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Smoke detectors should be tested monthly and replaced every 10 years.
