Highway 104 is closed westbound from Truro to the New Brunswick border to divert traffic from whiteout conditions because of high winds near Amherst.

Highway 104 is open to eastbound traffic from Exit 4, near Amherst. The highway is closed to traffic in both directions from Exit 4 to New Brunswick.

Forecasts show conditions are expected to continue until at least midnight.
