Time Falls Back On Nov. 6

Justice

Nova Scotians may want to adjust their alarm clocks before bed this Sunday, Nov.6, as they gain an hour when daylight savings time ends.

People are reminded to set their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m., or Saturday evening before they go to bed.

Other items that also need adjusting include microwave ovens, car clocks, watches, automatic timer lights, and many other household devices.

It is also a good opportunity to clean dryer vents to prevent fires, and change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Smoke detectors should be tested monthly and replaced every 10 years.
