Yuille v. Nova Scotia Health Authority, Board of Inquiry

Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission

An independent Nova Scotia human rights board of inquiry in the case of Melanie Yuille vs. Nova Scotia Health Authority is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Jan. 10, in Halifax.

Ms. Yuille alleges that she was discriminated against by the Nova Scotia Health Authority when the organization revoked its decision to offer her employment because of her disability. The authority does not agree that it has discriminated against Ms. Yuille.

The board of inquiry will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the commission board of inquiry hearing room, 5657 Spring Garden Rd., Park Lane Terrace, Suite 305.

The board chair is Eric Slone, who is independent of the commission. The commission is not representing either party. It represents the public interest.
