Applications Available for Emergency Services Provider Fund

Municipal Affairs (April 2014 - May 2019)

Applications for the Emergency Services Provider Fund program are now open for the 2018-19 year.

The fund offers financial assistance to volunteer fire departments and ground search and rescue organizations, including those that handle hazardous materials, to upgrade equipment that is used in response to a fire or emergency.

The program provides up to 75 per cent of eligible costs to a maximum of $20,000. Organizations can only receive funding once every three years.

“People who work in these organizations often put themselves at risk to help others,” said Derek Mombourquette, Minister of Municipal Affairs. “We are pleased to provide this funding to ensure they have the necessary equipment to keep themselves and others in the community safe.”

Applications will be accepted until June 22. Organizations can apply at, https://grants.novascotia.ca/irj/portal .
