Moose Licence Draw, June 30

Natural Resources Minister Kennie MacAskill will draw the winners of 200 moose hunting licences this year on Wednesday, June 30.

The draw is being held at the Middle River Community Hall, near Baddeck, at 12:30 p.m. There were 14,497 applications received this year. Last year, there were 12,549 applicants and the 200 winners took 188 moose.

The hunt will take place from Oct. 11 to Oct. 23 in Inverness and Victoria counties of Cape Breton.
