Youth Employment Resource Guide Released

Education and Culture (to July 1999)

Nova Scotian youths now have access to information on employment and entrepreneurship programs with the release of the 1999 edition of the Youth Employment Resource Guide.

The guide contains details on employment and self-employment programs offered by municipal, provincial and federal agencies in Nova Scotia, as well as employment opportunities across Canada and abroad. The guide is designed for students and recent graduates.

Complete details are provided on each program, including information on wages, bursaries, travel arrangements, contact information and application processes.

The Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development produces the resource guide for the Nova Scotia region of Human Resources Development Canada under the Youth Employment Strategy.

The guide is available on the Internet at www.ceed.ednet.ns.ca. It is also on display at guidance counsellor offices, local employment centres, Access Nova Scotia locations, municipal offices, Open for Business locations and public and high school libraries.
