Moose Draw Applications Available April 3

Applications for the 2000 moose licence lottery will be available at all offices of the Department of Natural Resources on Monday, April 3, Natural Resources Minister Ernest Fage announced today.

The application form will also be available on the department's website at www.gov.ns.ca/natr/wildlife/index.htm .

The deadline to submit an application is 4:30 p.m, Thursday, May, 25. The draw will be held Wednesday, June 28. The time and place will be announced.

This year's season will run for 12 days in the fall, with dates to be announced once finalized. Hunting is not permitted on Sundays and will only take place in Inverness and Victoria counties in Cape Breton.

The application fee is $5.75, including tax. When drawn, the moose license costs $57.50, including tax.
