President, CEO Named for Gaming Corporation

Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (to Dec. 2012)

Sean O'Connor, chair of the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation, today announced the appointment of Marie Mullally as president and CEO of the corporation. Ms. Mullally has been acting in the position since February.

"Ms. Mullally has proven to be a dynamic and effective leader for the Gaming Corporation," Mr. O'Connor said. "We are fortunate to have attracted someone of her skills and leadership abilities for this important position."

Ms. Mullally is a chartered accountant who has held positions of increasing responsibility in a number of government departments since 1989. These positions include director of Internal Audit at the Department of Transportation and Public Works, Registrar of Motor Vehicles and executive director of Service Delivery and Operations with the Department of Business and Consumer Services. She has been a part-time instructor in the commerce program at Saint Mary's University since 1989 and is a former member of the Dalhousie University Board of Governors.

Mr. O'Connor said Ms. Mullally was the unanimous choice for the position following a competition this fall.
