Mary E. Black Gallery Displays Stitched Textiles

The Mary E. Black Gallery is featuring a travelling exhibition of needlework art organized by the Ontario Network of Needleworkers.

The stitched textiles exhibition, Navigations, features the work of 25 artists, including Nova Scotian artist Kathryn Belzer. The exhibition displays a variety of contemporary and traditional works, ranging from three-dimensional pieces to wall hangings.

The Ontario Network of Needleworkers is a group that encourages communication and co-operation between needlework groups.

The exhibition runs from Jan. 10 to Feb. 15 at the Mary E. Black Gallery in the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design, 1683 Barrington St., Halifax. The gallery is open from Monday to Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.; Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m; and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
