Rissers Beach Boardwalk Reopens
Natural Resources (to July 2018)
The saltmarsh boardwalk at Rissers Beach Provincial Park in Lunenburg County, which was damaged this past winter, has been repaired and is now open for public use.
Carolyn Bolivar-Getson, Minister of Human Resources, made the announcement today, June 11, on behalf of Natural Resources Minister Richard Hurlburt.
"The saltmarsh boardwalk is a valuable resource to the local community and park visitors," said Ms. Bolivar-Getson. "Natural Resources staff have made temporary repairs to the boardwalk to have it accessible for this park season. Work will be carried out to reconstruct the boardwalk."
Work will begin in the fall with completion in time for the 2005 park season.
