Wharf Transferred to Local Association

Natural Resources (to July 2018)

The community wharf and a right of way at Abrams River, Yarmouth Co., will be transferred to the Abrams River Wharf Association, Natural Resources Minister Richard Hurlburt announced today, July 30.

"This wharf was owned by the federal government until the late 1970s, when it was acquired by the province on behalf of the community," said Mr. Hurlburt. "We do not have a need for the wharf and right of way and the association plans to make it available to local fishermen and recreational boaters."

The property is about 0.04 hectares in size.
