New Logo Introduced

Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation

The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC)unveiled a new, colourful and stylized corporate logo, today, Dec. 1.

"The NSLC is extremely proud to be able to present a new corporate identity that better reflects the changing nature of our company," said Ken Barbet, NSLC president and CEO. "Our new logo, combined with the dramatic changes we are making to our retail stores, are part of our ongoing efforts to improve the shopping experience for our customers."

The colouring of the new logo reflects the Nova Scotia heritage and the key products NSLC sells. Purple, green and gold represent beer, wine and spirits. The blue and gold represent the province. Overlaying the letters NSLC is a multi-coloured wave reflecting the community's maritime heritage.

When used in signs and other retail applications, the new logo is accompanied by the words "Beer Wine Spirits" to ensure all customers understand the nature of the NSLC's business.

Over the NSLC's 74-year history, the organization has had a corporate logo and a separate brand for the retail stores. Both the current boat and wheel corporate logo and the current "Liquor Store" signs will be replaced with the one new logo.

Additional sub-brands, such as the recently announced NSLC Wine Basket, will also carry a modified version of the new logo.

NSLC provides world class selection and service of beverage alcohol through the operation of 104 retail and eight agency stores throughout the province. By providing superior customer convenience and service, the NSLC returns substantial revenue to the provincial government while ensuring the responsible enjoyment of beverage alcohol in Nova Scotia.

Detailed copies and applications of the logo are available on the NSLC website at www.nsliquor.ca .
