SERVICE N.S./MUNICIPAL RELATIONS--Port Hawkesbury's Access Nova Scotia Office is Moving

The Port Hawkesbury Access Nova Scotia office will soon be open in its new location in the Provincial Building at 218 MacSween St.

As of Tuesday, Feb. 22, the office will be open for business. It will be closed on Monday, Feb. 21, to facilitate the move from its former vocational school location.

"We are committed to better serving the people of the Strait area by providing better access to government services," said Barry Barnet, Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations. "Our new, spacious facility will be a big improvement for staff and customers."

The Access Nova Scotia office, which includes the Registry of Motor Vehicles and consumer service offices, will provide a complete range of government services including licensing, registrations, driver's examinations, debtor assistance, and residential tenancies.

"There is always a high volume of traffic at the Port Hawkesbury Access Nova Scotia office and more parking will make the move to the Provincial Building more convenient to our customers," said Joyce MacDougall, regional manager of service delivery. "We will continue to provide our usual high standard of service to residents of the Strait area."
