Ban on Open Fires

The ban on open fires in western and central Nova Scotia, announced on Wednesday, Aug. 10, has been extended to include Guysborough and Antigonish counties and all of Cape Breton Island.
The ban is in effect as of noon today, Aug. 19, and is expected to remain in force until mid-September, unless the province receives a significant amount of rain.
