Halifax Global to Conduct Fee Review

Immigration (Jan. 2005 - Feb. 2021)

Halifax Global Inc., a management consulting firm, has been selected to conduct an independent review of fees charged to immigrants under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program.

Halifax Global serves clients in government, the private sector and not-for-profit in North America and Europe. Most recently, Halifax Global worked on the immigration strategy for the Greater Halifax Partnership.

Halifax Global was one of eight groups that responded to a request for proposals issued in December by the Office of Immigration. Selection criteria included related experience, quality of the work plan proposed, and immigration knowledge.

The review will examine fees charged across Canada and in the international marketplace. The review will also assess the value of the $100,000 paid by some immigrants to Nova Scotia businesses to cover the costs of their mentorship and management contract.

Halifax Global will consider written submissions. Interested groups and individuals can submit their comments on fees by e-mail to Research@halifaxglobal.com .

Submissions will be accepted until Friday, Feb. 10.
