Trunk 1 from Middleton's eastern town line, easterly 8.25 kilometres to the Kings County line will be reduced to one lane until Tuesday, Oct. 31, for paving.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Beaver Meadow Road

To allow for repaving, Beaver Meadow Road will be reduced to one lane from the intersection of Trunk 4 at James River for 3.2 kilometres to the intersection of Mill Road.

Work will take place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 31. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Ohio Cross Iron Bridge

The Ohio Cross Iron Bridge on the Ohio West Road over the Ohio River is closed for replacement until Friday, Dec. 15.

A detour is available on Ohio Cross Road.

The Antigonish-Guysborough Road, southerly for 3.75 kilometres from the intersection with Route 316, will be reduced to one lane until Tuesday, Oct. 31 for paving. Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Centerville Street

Centerville Street, from Gardiner Road to Atlantic Drive, will be reduced to one lane for patching and repaving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control will consist of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Route 255

Route 255, from Glace Bay town line to Durns Corner, will be reduced to one lane for patching and paving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4

Lane closures will be required on Trunk 4 between Victoria Junction and Gardiner Road to allow for repaving.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Tuesday, Oct. 31. This is a four-lane section, so one lane will always be open in each direction. Drivers should reduce speed and drive with extra caution in the construction zone.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4

Trunk 4 will be reduced to one lane, from the church in East Bay for 3.5 kilometres west, to allow for repaving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and traffic will be directed by traffic control persons and signs.

Trunk 22, from Louisbourg town limits northerly for about 4.6 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for patching and repaving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Lilyvale Bridge on Lilyvale Road is closed for repairs until further notice. Traffic control consists of signs. Detours are available on Camden Road and Riversdale Road.

Robie Street, Truro, will be reduced to two lanes for paving and construction of curbs and sidewalks until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Route 236, from the 102 overpass structure at Robie Street to Old Mill Road, will be reduced to one lane until Tuesday, Oct. 31, so workers can install culverts and pave.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Mount Whatley Road Bridge

The bridge on Mount Whatley Road at the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border will be closed until Tuesday, Oct. 31., while a new bridge is built.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Molasses Harbour Bridge

Molasses Harbour Bridge on Route 316 in Port Felix is reduced to one lane via detour bridge until Thursday, Nov. 30.

Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals or traffic control persons.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 316

Route 316, from the intersection with Route 276 at Goshen southerly towards Goldboro, will have intermittent one-lane closures for gravelling and paving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Trunk 16

Trunk 16, from 1.1 kilometres east of Old Queensport Loop easterly towards Canso, will have intermittent one-lane closures for gravelling and paving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102

Highway 102 inbound at Exit 5A and 6 will be reduced to one lane until Monday, Oct. 23, for paving.

Traffic control consists of cones and barrels. Work takes place from 9 a.m. to dusk.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 103

Motorists on Highway 103 between Exit 4 and Exit 5 should drive with extra caution as traffic will be diverted between old and new highway sections while this section is being twinned.

Motorists are advised to follow traffic control measures in place and obey the 80 km/h speed limit. Two-way traffic is still in place on most sections.

The work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Oct. 31.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 103

Highway 103 at Exit 5 will be under construction for gravelling and paving until Tuesday, Oct. 31. A reduced speed limit of 80 km/h is posted for the duration of the project.

Route 333, between Paddy's Head and West Dover, will be reduced to one lane until Tuesday, Oct. 31, for paving.

Ashford Close, Fox Hollow Drive, Ashbury Court, Fox Point Drive, Fox Ridge Court and Magnolia Court in St. Margaret's Bay Village will have intermittent one-lane closures for paving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control consists of traffic control persons, signs, cones, and barrels. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some weekend work may be involved.

Trunk 7 from Mineville Road/Bell Street, Lake Echo to Highway 107 intersection (Exit 17), East Preston will be intermittently reduced to one lane for road work until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Alternate route via Lake Echo to Dartmouth via Highway 107. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and may include Saturday.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 7

Trunk 7 from Musquodoboit Harbour to Gaetz Brook will be intermittently reduced to one lane for road work until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Alternate route via Musquodoboit Harbour to Porters Lake via Highway 107. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and may include Saturdays.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 7 Trunk 7 from Highway 107 access road, Porters Lake East to Parker Lane in West Porters Lake will be intermittently reduced to one lane for road work until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Alternate route via Porters Lake to Lake Echo via Highway 107. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and may include Saturday.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Wyse Road Bridge

Wyse Road Bridge in Middle Musquodoboit will be closed to truck traffic while the bridge is being repaired. Trucks will detour via Route 356 and Route 213 until further notice. Traffic control consists of signs.

HANTS COUNTY: Georgefield Road

Georgefield Road, from Shubenacadie Road northerly to the landfill site, a total of 5.5 kilometres, will have occasional one-lane closures for patching and repaving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control consists of traffic control persons, signs, cones and barrels. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Some weekend work may be involved.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102

The northbound lanes of Highway 102, from Exit 9 to Exit 10 near Shubenacadie, will have one-lane closures for paving.

The work will take place from sunrise to sunset until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control will consist of traffic barrels and signs. Speed reductions in the work zone will be enforced. Drivers should expect slower travel through the work zone.

HANTS COUNTY: Railway Overpass, Falmouth

Avon River, No. 2 railway overpass structure, west of Exit 7 at Falmouth on Highway 101, will be reduced to one lane for deck repairs until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control consists of barricades and traffic lights. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: River Inhabitants Road and Cenotaph Road

River Inhabitants Road, from Highway 105 at Exit 2 southerly for 8.4 kilometres to the intersection at Cenotaph Road, and Cenotaph Road, from River Inhabitants Road about 2.5 kilometres east through the Village of West Bay Road, will have a one-lane closure until Tuesday, Oct. 31, for repaving.

Traffic control consists of traffic control persons. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trunk 19

Trunk 19 from Port Hastings rotary northerly for five kilometres will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Thursday, Nov. 30.

Traffic control will consists of a pilot vehicle. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Black Rock Road

Black Rock Road from Trunk 1 to Route 221 will be reduced to one lane for patching and repaving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

KINGS COUNTY: Bridge Street Bridge

Bridge Street Bridge on Bridge Street will be reduced to one lane for bridge and sidewalk repairs until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

There is a heavy truck traffic detour at Trunk 1 to Route 201 in Kings County and Trunk 1 to Route 201 in Annapolis County. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Gaspereau River Road Closure

The Gaspereau River Road will be closed until Tuesday, Oct. 31, to allow for the replacement of the Minor Bridge over Curry Brook.

Detour routes are marked on Gaspereau River Road, Grand Pré Road, Ridge Road, and Highway 101.

KINGS COUNTY: Old Baxters Mill Bridge Weight Restrictions

The Old Baxters Mill Bridge near Baxters Harbour is open to one lane of traffic. Vehicles weighing more than 5,000 kilograms are restricted from using the bridge.

KINGS COUNTY: Victoria Road, Secondary Road 221

Road improvement work will be taking place on Victoria Road north of Aylesford, from the Highway 101 overpass north for two kilometres to the intersection of Secondary Road 221, and then east on Secondary Road 221 for one kilometre, until Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in sections where work is taking place.

KINGS COUNTY: West Brooklyn Road

West Brooklyn Road over Highway 101 will be closed until Saturday, March 31, 2007. This is to allow for the removal and replacement of the existing overpass.

The intersection of Trunk 3 and Duke Street in Chester will periodically be reduced to one lane for installation of new sidewalks and curbs until Wednesday, Nov. 15.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Morgan Falls Bridge

Morgan Falls Bridge on Lower Branch Road in New Germany, located between the intersection of School Street and Trunk 10, will be closed for the replacement of deck and concrete abutments until Monday, Oct. 23.

Detour route on School Road, Route 208 and Trunk 10.

Sperry Bridge No. 2 on Petite Riviere Road is closed until further notice. Detours are posted.

Big Gut Bridge, on Route 348 between Hillside and Pictou Landing, is closed due to fire damage.

Alternate routes are available on Change Harbour Road or Egypt Road.

PICTOU COUNTY: Durham Bridge

Durham Bridge, located on Green Hill Road and Route 376, will be closed for replacement until Monday, Oct. 30.

Route 245 will be reduced to one lane, from the intersection of Browns Mill Road, northeasterly for 5.8 kilometres until Tuesday, Oct. 31, to allow for repaving.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Traffic will be controlled by traffic control persons.

PICTOU COUNTY: Thorburn Road Overpass Structure

The Thorburn Road overpass structure at Exit 26 on Highway 104 will occasionally have a reduced speed limit due to shoulder work until Friday, Dec. 15.

Drivers are asked to reduce speed and watch for construction equipment and personnel when passing through the area. The Department of Transportation and Public Works is requesting that motorists using Route 347 use an alternate route.

PICTOU COUNTY: Trunk 4

Sections of Trunk 4 will be reduced to one lane from the intersection of Fraser Mountain Road, to the intersection of Highway 104 at Exit 27A until Tuesday, Oct. 31, to allow for repaving.

Woodburn Road, from Trunk 4 at Pine Tree to Route 289, Little Harbour Road, will be reduced one lane until Tuesday, Oct. 31, for patching and repaving.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Black River Bridge

Black River Bridge in Dundee will be reduced to one lane until Monday, Dec. 25, for repairs.

Traffic control consists of traffic signals 24 hours per day.

Route 320 from Arichat about five kilometres towards d'Escousse will be to reduced to one lane until Wednesday, Nov. 15, for repaving.

West Bay Road from about 6.4 kilometres east of the Black River Road, easterly to Pringle Brook Bridge will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Tuesday, Oct. 31.
