McEwans Bridge over McEwans Brook on Trunk 1, about four kilometres west of Middleton, will be closed for replacement from Monday, Oct. 15 to Monday, Nov. 5.
A detour is provided on Mount Hanley Road, Clarence Road and Elliott Road.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Route 201
The width of driving lanes on Route 201 between Paradise Lane and Nictaux Road is being restricted to allow for repaving until Friday, Oct. 26.
Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. A 20.7 kilometre, wide-load detour is marked through Paradise Lane, Trunk 1, Elliot Connector, Highway 101, Brooklyn Street, Trunk 1, Trunk 10, and Nictaux Road.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104
The intersection of Highway 104 and Beech Hill Road will have a one-lane closure for improvements and repaving until Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Traffic will move slowly and traffic control will be marked with signs. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset, seven days a week.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4
Trunk 4, from East Bay west for about four kilometres to the Ski Ben Eoin area, will have one lane closures until Friday, Nov. 30, for paving and construction of a left-turning lane into the golf and ski area.

Trunk 22, Louisbourg Highway from Highway 125, Sydney Bypass to Landry Crescent will have one-lane closures for paving and repairs to guardrails until Wednesday, Oct. 31.

The John Miller Bridge on Route 256 between Highway 246 and Kennedy Hill Road is closed for repairs until Friday, Oct. 19.

Burnside Drive, from Commodore Drive to the ramp at Highway 111 and the eastbound ramp, from Highway 111 to Burnside Drive, about one kilometre, will have lane closures at various locations and times for widening, gravelling, signal installation, paving and repaving until Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008.
Traffic control consist of cones, barriers, signs and traffic control people. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset. Some weekend work may be involved.

Traffic will be routed through the site over a one-lane temporary bridge controlled with traffic lights.

MacDougall Bridge on Reservation Road in Waycobah will be closed to all traffic until Wednesday, Oct. 31 for bridge repairs.

PICTOU COUNTY: Big Gut Bridge
Big Gut Bridge, on Route 348 near Pictou Landing, is open to motorists. A temporary bridge will accommodate one-lane traffic and is controlled by traffic signals. The bridge width restriction is 4.2 metres. Motorists should proceed with caution.

PICTOU COUNTY: Black Brook Bridge
Black Brook Bridge on Route 347 (East River, St. Mary's) will be closed for replacement until Friday, Nov. 30.
A temporary detour is parallel to the existing structure. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when travelling through construction zone.

Millers Ford Bridge, over the West River, on a connecting road between Saltsprings Loop and West River East Side Road, will be closed for replacement until Wednesday, Nov. 14.
A detour route is provided on Trunk 4 and West River East Side Road.

Traffic on Route 256 (Scotsburn Road), from Durham Road west for about three kilometres to Campbell Hill Road will be restricted to one lane to allow for repaving until Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Traffic will be controlled by traffic control people and signs. Reduce speed in the construction area.

Traffic on Trunk 4, from the end of Highway 104 at River Tillard, east for four kilometres to the St. Peters Canal Bridge will be restricted to one lane until Wednesday Oct. 31.
Traffic control people and a pilot vehicle will be on hand to assist traffic safely through the construction zone. Drivers should travel with extra care in the area.

Barrington Passage - Trunk 3, from the intersection of the Oak Park Road to the intersection of Route 330, will be reduced to one lane for cold planing until Tuesday, Oct. 16.
