Government Surplus Auction This Saturday

Transportation and Public Works (to Oct. 2007)

It's fall clean up time and variety is the order of the day at this Saturday's provincial government surplus auction.

The auction will include about 10 government trucks, four electric pallet movers, an electric wheelchair, an assortment of working photocopiers, some audio and video equipment (including VHS camcorders), drafting tables, a light table, numerous sets of mini blinds, interior doors, office furniture and electronic equipment such as cellphones and fax machines.

A link to a partial list, with photos, is posted on the front page of the Department of Transportation and Public Works' website at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/ .

The auction will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Transportation and Public Works' warehouse at 10 Acadia St., Dartmouth at 10 a.m. Items can be viewed between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The auction will be conducted by A&A Auctioneering. Payment must be made by cash or auctioneer-approved cheque. Credit cards or debit cards will not be accepted.

Money earned in this auction is used to help pay down the provincial debt.
