Last Weekend for LEGO Display at Maritime Museum

Nova Scotia Museum

The last chance for visitors to enjoy LEGO: City by the Sea, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic's whimsical LEGO town is Saturday, Feb. 9 and Sunday, Feb. 10.

Since the display's debut in December, more than 9,000 visitors have come to marvel at the 67.5-square-metre cityscape, which was created by talented members of the Nova Scotia LEGO Users Group.

To add to the excitement, the museum offered children a chance to win a LEGO prize pack by entering the Find Cyril Lunney contest.

During a visit to the museum, the Breakfast Television host built his own LEGO "mini-me", which was hidden in the display. Visitors who figured out LEGO Cyril's whereabouts were invited to fill out a ballot.

The lucky winner was 11-year-old Colin Clarke of Halifax.

The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic is located at 1675 Lower Water St., Halifax. The museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
