Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) sales were up 5.5 per cent last year, according to financial results released today, July 8, for the fiscal year ending March 31.
The NSLC reported income from operations of $198.7 million on net sales of $530.6 million, an increase of 5.5 per cent compared to with the same period last year when the NSLC reported income from operations of $188.2 million on net sales of $504.7 million.
"The NSLC exceeded its financial target for the third year in a row," said Bret Mitchell, NSLC president and CEO. "Driving these results was the impressive growth in our wine and beer categories, combined with increased access through the expansion of agency stores and Sunday shopping."
