PICTOU COUNTY: Big Gut Bridge Now Open
The Big Gut Bridge on Route 348 is now open to two-lane traffic, however work crews will be on the site until Friday, Aug. 15, adding finishing touches to the project. Drivers should travel with extra care in the construction zone and obey signs and personnel in the area.
The old bridge was destroyed by fire in 2006 and a temporary one-lane bridge has been in place since then.
