Canso Causeway Remains Closed Today, Jan. 2
Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)
The Canso Causeway remains closed today, Jan. 2, due to a winter storm, high waves and whiteout conditions.
Drivers are warned to keep off roads to keep themselves and others safe, as travel is extremely difficult.
If driving is necessary, drivers are urged to use extreme caution and expect slowed traffic and possible delays as visibility is reduced by snow and wind.
