ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Shore Road

Starting Monday, June 8, sections of Shore Road from the intersection of Parker Mountain Road and the intersection of Hampton Mountain Road will be reduced to one lane to allow for road improvements. The work is scheduled for completion on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Traffic control people will guide motorists through the construction zone. Please drive with extra care in the area.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 22

Trunk 22 (Louisbourg Highway) south of Hornes Road, for about six kilometers will be reduced to one lane for clearing, gravelling and paving from Sunday, June 7 until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 from the Yarmouth-Digby County line west for about 4.1 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for cold planing and repaving from Monday, June 8 until Tuesday, July 7.

Cyclists are asked to use caution as pavement is grooved. Motorist are advised of delays. Use alternate route if possible. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Spanks Bridge

Spanks Bridge on the Larry's River Road at West Cooks Cove will be out of service, local traffic only, from Monday, June 8 until Saturday, Oct. 31 for repairs.

Detour via Mountain Road and Trunk 16. Users of the Trans-Canada Trail are advised that the Spanks Bridge is closed and are to use caution when travelling in this area.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trunk 19

Section 2 of Trunk 19, for about a half a kilometre north of Blackstone Road will be reduced to one lane for cold planing, gravelling, pulverization, patching and repaving from Monday, June 8 until Monday, Aug. 31.

Section 3 of Broad Cove Marsh from Trunk 19 north for about one kilometre will be reduced to one lane for cold planing, gravelling, pulverization, patching and repaving from Monday, June 8 until Monday, Aug. 31.

The Lake Brook Bridge on Shore Road will be closed for replacement until Monday, June 8.

The intersection on Grand Lake Road, near Central Supplies, will be reduced to two lanes from four for traffic light installation until Friday, July 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Cobequid Pass

The outside lanes of the Cobequid Pass toll booths on Highway 104 will be closed until Wednesday, June 17, for renovations.

Vehicles wider than 2.6 metres should exit Highway 104 at Exit 12 westbound, or Exit 7 eastbound, and travel on Trunk 4.

Motorists are asked to follow posted signs.

The Masstown Road, east of Exit 12 for about one kilometre, will be reduced to one lane for replacing asphalt and repairs to the Highway 104 overpass, until Thursday, July 16.

Highway 104, westbound lane, from CNR overpass to the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border, about 2.5 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for asphalt cold planing and paving until Monday, June 15.

Route 242 from the intersection with Route 302 at Maccan West to Lower Maccan Road, about 8.8 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Friday, July 31.

Burns Bridge on Shinimicas Road will be closed for repairs until Tuesday, June 16.

Southampton Road from the Amherst town line west to Route 302 about nine kilometres will be reduced to one lane for gravelling and asphalt concrete paving until Friday, July 31.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Causeway Lane Closure

Traffic on the Canso Causeway will be reduced to one lane for shoulder repairs until Tuesday, June 30.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic control people and signs are on site.

Drivers using the causeway should allow for extra time during the construction period.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge will be used until a permanent bridge is completed.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h at the site and advance warning signs are in place.

Reduced weight restrictions are no longer in effect at this crossing.

South River Lake Road will have alternating one lane closures for upgrading, gravelling and repaving, from 2.9 kilometres west of the North Ogden Road easterly for 6.4 kilometres until Monday, August 31.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102

Highway 102, southbound, will have a one lane closure from Exit 4B to Exit 3, including ramps, about 4.6 kilometres, to replace the jersey barrier and widen, patch and repave the highway until Friday, July 31.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 107

Highway 107, from 318 overpass to Akerley Boulevard, including ramps, about 11 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset. There will be no work from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. westbound, and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. eastbound.

Route 336, from the intersection with Route 224 to the Colchester County line, about 9.7 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving and drainage improvement until Monday, Aug. 31.

HANTS COUNTY: Eastbound Ramp, Exit 8, Highway 101

Traffic on the eastbound on and off ramps of Highway 101 at Exit 8 near Hantsport will be reduced to one lane to allow for bridge painting.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset each day. Traffic control people and signs are on site. The work is scheduled to be completed Tuesday, June 30.

Drivers using the connector road to the eastbound lanes of Highway 101 at Exit 8 should allow for extra time during this period.

Route 215 from Hiltz Road to William Conley Road, between Pembroke and Walton, will have traffic interruptions for re-paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Highway 104 between Exit 29 at Barney's River, Pictou County to the Antigonish County Line will be reduced to one lane for road improvements until Tuesday, June 30.

Work will take place from Monday to Thursday from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Fridays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
