Gerards Brook Bridge on Terra Nova Road near Louisbourg Water Treatment Plant will be closed from Monday, July 13, until Friday, July 24, for bridge replacement.

A detour route is available on Trunk 22, Louisbourg Highway.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: River Philip Bridge

River Philip Bridge eastbound on Highway 104, about one kilometre off the Oxford Interchange, will be reduced to one lane from Monday, July 13, until Thursday, July 23, to replace a bridge rail on the south side.

Work takes place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Stewiacke Road

Stewiacke Road at Murphy Culvert, about 14.1 kilometres east of the Alton Road, will be closed to replace two culverts from Monday, July 13, until Thursday, July 23.

Signs are in place. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: MacDonald Road and Nappan Road

MacDonald Road underpass 1.3 kilometres south of Route 204, and Nappan Road underpass one kilometre south of Route 204, will have one lane closures from Monday, July 13, until Tuesday, Aug. 4, for cold planing, joint replacement and re-paving bridge deck.

Traffic control people will be on site. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Gairlock Lake Road

Gairlock Lake Road will be closed except to local traffic from Monday, July 13, until Friday, July 24, for a wooden box culvert replacement.

A detour is available on Millbrook and Sutherland Road.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 west of Exit 22 for about 11.5 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for guardrail replacement, patching and paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Shore Road

Sections of Shore Road from the intersection of Parker Mountain Road to the intersection of Hampton Mountain Road will be reduced to one lane for road improvements. The work is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Traffic control people will guide motorists through the construction zone.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Trunk 16

Trunk 16 from Trunk 4 in Monastery to the Guysborough County line, about 5.1 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culvert installation and re-paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

The intersection on Grand Lake Road near Central Supplies will be reduced to two lanes from four for traffic light installation until Friday, July 31.

Keltic Drive from the rail road tracks west for five kilometres will be reduced to one lane for cold planing and re-paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Trunk 4, from Greenhill Drive to about 800 metres past Meadows Road, will be reduced to one lane for paving and planing until Monday, Aug. 31.

Motorist are advised of delays and to use alternate route if possible. Planing will be ongoing for about two weeks and is expected to end on Wednesday, July 22. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Trunk 22, Louisbourg Highway south of Hornes Road for about six kilometres will be reduced to one lane for clearing, gravelling and paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Frank Cox Bridge, about 500 metres south from Route 289 on the Branch Road, will be closed for repairs until Friday, July 17.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Cobequid Pass

The outside lanes at the Cobequid Pass toll booths on Highway 104 have reopened to wide load vehicles.

Renovations to the toll booths will continue and are expected to be completed in July.

Highway 104, from Exit 8 to the Pictou County line, will have a lane closure for cold milling, widening and paving until Friday, July 31.

The Masstown Road, east of Exit 12 about one kilometre, will be reduced to one lane for asphalt replacement and repairs to the Highway 104 overpass until Thursday, July 16.

Route 236 from the Hants County line to Princeport Road, about eight kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving and shouldering until Monday, Aug. 31.

Trunk 2 from Taggart Loop to Portapique, about 8.5 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for crack filling and seal coating until Monday, Aug. 31.

The West North River Road Overpass over Highway 104, will be reduced to one lane until Wednesday, July 29.

Route 242 from the intersection with Route 302 at Maccan West to Lower Maccan Road, about 8.8 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for re-paving until Friday, July 31.

Southampton Road from the Amherst town line west to Route 302 about nine kilometres will be reduced to one lane for graveling and paving until Friday, July 31.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 from the Yarmouth-Digby County line west about 4.1 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for cold planing and re-paving until Friday, July 31.

Cyclists are asked to use caution as pavement is grooved. Motorists are advised of delays and to use alternate route if possible. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Causeway Lane Closure

The Canso Causeway will be reduced to one lane for shoulder repairs until Saturday, July 18.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic control people and signs are on site.

Motorists using the causeway should allow for extra time during the construction period.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge will be available until a permanent bridge is completed.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h at the site and advance warning signs are in place.

Reduced weight restrictions are no longer in effect at this crossing.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: South River Lake Road

South River Lake Road will have alternating one-lane closures for upgrading, gravelling and repaving, from 2.9 kilometres west of the North Ogden Road east for 6.4 kilometres, until Monday, August 31.

Traffic control people and a pilot vehicle are on site. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Spanks Bridge

Spanks Bridge on the Larry's River Road at West Cooks Cove will be out of service except to local traffic for repairs until Saturday, Oct. 31.

A detour is available on Mountain Road and Trunk 16. Trans-Canada Trail users are advised that the Spanks Bridge is closed and are to use caution when travelling in this area.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 101

Highway 101 from Beaver Bank interchange west, about three kilometres, will be reduced to one lane in both directions for planing, re-paving, and guardrail work until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102

Highway 102, southbound, will be reduced to one lane from Exit 4B to Exit 3, including ramps, for about 4.6 kilometres, to replace the jersey barrier and widen, patch and repave the highway until Friday, July 31.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 107

Highway 107, from 318 Overpass to Akerley Boulevard, including ramps, for about 11 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset. There will be no work from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. westbound, and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. eastbound.

Route 336, from the intersection with Route 224 to the Colchester County line, about 9.7 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving and drainage improvement until Monday, Aug. 31.

HANTS COUNTY: Eastbound Ramp, Exit 8, Highway 101

Traffic on the eastbound on and off ramps of Highway 101 at Exit 8 near Hantsport will be reduced to one lane for bridge painting.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset each day. Traffic control people and signs are on site. The work is scheduled to be completed Friday, July 17.

Drivers using the connector road to the eastbound lanes of Highway 101 at Exit 8 should allow for extra time during this period.

HANTS COUNTY: Route 215

Route 215 from Hiltz Road to William Conley Road between Pembroke and Walton will have traffic interruptions for re-paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Kates Bridge on Tannery Road in Hantsport is closed for repairs until further notice.

A detour is available on Avon Street.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 between Exit 10 and Exit 11 will be reduced to one lane for re-paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Delays are expected with stop times of up to 30 minutes depending on traffic volumes. There is an alternate route on Trunk 1 at Exit 10 at Grand Pre and Exit 11 at Greenwich.

KINGS COUNTY: Hillaton Road

Hillaton Road will be closed for bridge repairs until further notice.

A one-lane bridge is open on Trunk 3 between Mahone Bay and Chester while the new Gold River Bridge is being built. Work is expected to continue until August. Traffic lights are in place.

Sections of Trunk 8 in the Kempt-Maitland Bridge area, will be reduced to one lane for re-paving until Friday, July 24.

Traffic will be directed by flashing lights, barrels, and traffic cones. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sections of Trunk 10, between Wentzell Road And Barss Corner Road, will be reduced to one lane for re-paving until Friday, July 31.
