PICTOU COUNTY: Limerock Road - Wooden Bridge Replacement

Limerock Road will be closed to replace a small wooden bridge from Monday, July 20 until Friday, July 31.

A detour is available on Mackay and Nelson Road.

VICTORIA COUNTY;: Buchanan Bridge

Buchanan Bridge on Highway 105 at South Haven will be reduced to one lane for deck replacement from Monday, July 20 until Monday, Aug. 31.

There will be 24-hour traffic control at the construction zone. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Highway 101 west of Exit 22 for about 11.5 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for guardrail replacement, patching and paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Shore Road

Sections of Shore Road from the intersection of Parker Mountain Road to the intersection of Hampton Mountain Road will be reduced to one lane for road improvements. The work is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Traffic control people will guide motorists through the construction zone.

Gerards Brook Bridge on Terra Nova Road near Louisbourg water treatment plant will be closed until Friday, July 24, for bridge replacement.

The intersection on Grand Lake Road near Central Supplies will be reduced to two lanes from four for traffic light installation until Friday, July 31.

Trunk 4, from Greenhill Drive to about 800 metres past Meadows Road, will be reduced to one lane for paving and planing until Monday, Aug. 31.

Motorists are advised of delays and to use an alternate route if possible. Planing will take about two weeks and is expected to end on Wednesday, July 22. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

River Philip Bridge eastbound on Highway 104, about one kilometre off the Oxford Interchange, will be reduced to one lane until Thursday, July 23, to replace a bridge rail on the south side.

MacDonald Road underpass 1.3 kilometres south of Route 204, and Nappan Road underpass one kilometre south of Route 204, will have one lane closures until Tuesday, Aug. 4, for cold planing, joint replacement and bridge deck repaving.

Route 242 from Route 302 intersection at Maccan West to Lower Maccan Road, about 8.8 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Friday, July 31.

Southampton Road from the Amherst town line west to Route 302 for about nine kilometres will be reduced to one lane for gravelling and paving until Friday, July 31.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 from the Yarmouth-Digby County line west for about 4.1 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for cold planing and repaving until Friday, July 31.

Cyclists are asked to use caution as pavement is grooved. Motorists are advised of delays and to use an alternate route if possible. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Causeway Lane Closure

The Canso Causeway will be reduced to one lane for shoulder repairs until Saturday, July 18.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic control people and signs are on site.

Motorists using the causeway should allow for extra time during the construction period.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge will be available until a permanent bridge is completed.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h at the site and advance warning signs are in place.

Reduced weight restrictions are no longer in effect at this crossing.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: South River Lake Road

South River Lake Road will have alternating one-lane closures for upgrading, gravelling and repaving, from 2.9 kilometres west of the North Ogden Road east for 6.4 kilometres, until Monday, August 31.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Spanks Bridge

Spanks Bridge on the Larry's River Road at West Cooks Cove will be out of service except to local traffic for repairs until Saturday, Oct. 31.

A detour is available on Mountain Road and Trunk 16. Trans-Canada Trail users are advised that the Spanks Bridge is closed and to use caution when travelling in this area.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 101

Highway 101 from Beaver Bank interchange west for about three kilometres, will be reduced to one lane in both directions for planing, repaving, and guardrail work until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102

Highway 102 southbound will be reduced to one lane from Exit 4B to Exit 3, including ramps, for about 4.6 kilometres. Work will include replacing the jersey barrier and widening, patching and repaving the highway until Friday, July 31.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 107

Highway 107, from 318 overpass to Akerley Boulevard, including ramps, will be reduced to one lane for about 11 kilometres for paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset. There will be no work from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. westbound, and from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. eastbound.

HANTS COUNTY: Eastbound Ramp, Exit 8, Highway 101

Traffic on the eastbound on and off ramps of Highway 101 at Exit 8 near Hantsport will be reduced to one lane for bridge painting.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset each day. Traffic control people and signs are on site. The work is scheduled to be completed Friday, July 24.

Drivers using the connector road to the eastbound lanes of Highway 101 at Exit 8 should allow for extra time during this period.

Route 215 from Hiltz Road to William Conley Road between Pembroke and Walton will have traffic interruptions for repaving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Highway 101 between Exit 10 and Exit 11 will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Delays are expected with stop times of up to 30 minutes depending on traffic volumes. There is an alternate route on Trunk 1 at Exit 10 at Grand Pre and Exit 11 at Greenwich.
