Natural Resources (to July 2018)

All provincial day-use and camping parks reopened today, Aug. 24, after being assessed for damage caused by Hurricane Bill.

All but three beach parks also reopened today. Three provincial beaches will remain closed because of damage to boardwalks and stairs. They could reopen as early as Tuesday, Aug. 25. The beaches are: Martinique, Lawrencetown and Conrads. All are located in Halifax Regional Municipality.

The Department of Natural Resources will provide an update on the condition of the beaches on Tuesday.

All provincial beaches, day-use parks, and camping parks were closed during the weekend as a precaution in advance of Hurricane Bill.
