Graves Island Provincial Park Extends Season

Natural Resources (to July 2018)

Graves Island Provincial Park will remain open until Thanksgiving weekend instead of its original closing date of Sept. 7.

The park's camping season is being extended because of new campsites and park improvements completed this year.

"We are pleased to be able offer something new for campers who enjoy spending time at Graves Island," said Natural Resources Minister John MacDonell. "These improvements have come as a result of government's long-term commitment to the park and input from local residents and park visitors."

Long a popular destination park, the new campsites offer excellent ocean views previously unavailable.

Visitors can choose specific campsites through the reservation system online or by phone at 1-888-544-3434, between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Opening and closing dates for provincial camping parks vary.
