The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC) posted a 1.6 per cent increase in net income compared with last year, according to its first-quarter results released today, Aug. 31.
For the three-month period from April 1 to June 28, the NSLC recorded net income of $52.7 million on gross sales of $140.1 million. Last year's net income was $51.9 million on gross sales of $135.4 million.
Gross sales increased by 3.4 per cent in the quarter compared with the same period last year.
