Public Beware of Business Registration Phone Scam

Nova Scotians should be aware of phone calls to businesses from people misrepresenting themselves as employees of the Nova Scotia Business Registry.

The callers reportedly suggest that the customer's business filings are out of date, perhaps in an attempt to obtain private or personal information.

Access Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Business Registry do not make these types of calls to customers.

The public is advised to be very careful or to refrain from giving personal or business information to unsolicited callers.
