Gaelic Language Information Sessions

Gaelic Affairs

The Office of Gaelic Affairs will be holding information sessions on its Gaelic Language in Community Program across the province in November.

The sessions are designed to provide information on the new funding program, advice on project planning, proposal writing and to answer questions on the program.

The sessions, which all begin at 7 p.m., are open to everyone. They are being held in:

  • Antigonish, Monday, Nov. 16, at the Lions Centre, 13 Highland St. Ext.
  • Mabou, Tuesday, Nov. 17, at An Drochaidh, Route 19, Main St.
  • Sydney, Wednesday, Nov. 18, Cape Breton University, 1250 Grand Lake Road, Room CE 265, in the Great Hall (Student Cultural and Heritage Centre). To find the hall take the first entrance into the university at the lights on Grand Lake Road.
  • Baddeck, Thursday, Nov. 19, Knox Presbyterian Hall, Grant Street.
  • Halifax, Monday, Nov. 23, Fort Massey Church Hall 5303 Tobin St.
  • New Glasgow, Tuesday, Nov. 24, Àite na Gàidheal, second floor, 174 Archimedes St.
  • Port Hawkesbury, Thursday, Nov. 26, KOC Hall Next to St. Joseph's Church, 138 Granville St.
