Convention Centre Submission Deadline Extended
Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)
The tender submission deadline for the proposed new convention centre in Halifax has been extended to July 19. The deadline was extended in response to a request by the developer.
The submission is in response to a request for proposals issued in October 2009. The original February 2010 deadline had previously been extended to April 19.
Changes in submission deadlines are not unusual for large infrastructure projects and can be initiated by either the proponent or the province.
The submission will outline a design and facility management plan, financing plan and price, information that will be used to determine whether or not the project will go forward.
