CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 105

From Monday, June 21 until Friday, June 25, traffic on Highway 105 near the Little Bras d'Or bridge will be reduced to one lane to allow for preliminary work on the new bridge at this location.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Paving Near Airport

Repaving of the northbound lanes of Highway 102 may cause delays for drivers approaching the Robert L. Stanfield International Airport from Halifax.

Work is taking place from south of Exit 5A (Aerotech Park) to Exit 6 (airport). Two of the three northbound lanes on Highway 102 will remain open during peak hours but traffic may be reduced to one lane from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Access to the airport via Bell Boulevard will be maintained at all times.

All three lanes will remain open during the July long weekend from 3 p.m. Wednesday June 30 until 6 a.m. Monday July 5. The project is scheduled for completion at the end of July.

Drivers heading to the airport should travel with care and give themselves extra time during the construction period.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 3

Beginning Tuesday, June 22, sections of Trunk 3, St. Margarets Bay Road, will be reduced to one lane between Cleveland Point Road and Boutiliers Point Road for repaving.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset until Sunday, Oct. 31.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Cabot Trail Closure

Both lanes of the Cabot Trail from the Cheticamp River Bridge to the national park entrance in Pleasant Bay will be closed for three hours from midnight on Monday, June 21 to 3 a.m. Tuesday, June 22 to allow for the erection of a girder on the Cheticamp River Bridge.

No traffic will be able to get through during this time and there is no detour route available.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101, west of Exit 22 for about nine kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for guardrail replacement, patching and paving until Saturday, July 31.

Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Highway 101

Victoria Bridge on Highway 101 will be reduced to one lane for repairs and paving until Saturday, July 31.

A traffic signal is in place. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104

Traffic On Highway 104 will be reduced to one lane for repair work on the Pomquet River Bridge, near Heatherton, until Wednesday, June 30.

Temporary traffic signals are on site, but delays are possible.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337

There will be periodic lane closures on Route 337 at Canal Bridge for the construction of a detour bridge. The temporary bridge will be in place until Friday, Dec. 31.

Detour and temporary lights are on site. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Sydney River Bridge

Repairs to the Sydney River Bridge on Keltic Drive are expected to continue until the end of June.

Traffic on the bridge will continue to be one lane until repairs are completed.

Residents of Coxheath and Westmount are encouraged to use the interchange on Coxheath Road to get to Highway 125 during the construction period.

Trunk 22, from about two kilometres north of Catalone Gut Road, south for about six kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104

Traffic on sections of the westbound lanes of Highway 104 will be reduced to one lane from Exit 15 at Truro to Exit 13 at Debert to allow for repaving.

Work takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. until Saturday, July 31.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 311

Traffic on Route 311 between the intersection of Onslow Road and Stewarts Bridge is reduced to one lane to allow for crack filling and chip sealing until Saturday, July 31.

Traffic control is on site. Drivers should use caution in the area.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Northport Bridge

Northport Bridge on Route 366 is closed until further notice for replacement.

Detour from Shinimicas Road to the east of the bridge and Mudcreek Road to the west of the bridge. Cyclists should travel with caution.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Trunk 4

A 6.5 kilometre section of Trunk 4 from Wentworth Collingwood Road to Barclay Loop will be reduced to one lane for cold planing, repaving and bridge repairs until Saturday, July 31.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends if required.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101, from Exit 31 at Meteghan to Exit 32 at Salmon River will be reduced to one lane for repaving and shoulder work until Thursday, July 15.

Traffic delays are expected. Cyclists are asked to use caution. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h and warning signs are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Clamshell Road

Clamshell Road will be closed occasionally to replace culverts until Friday, July 9.

A detour is available via East Petpeswick to Trunk 7 and then to West Petpeswick.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Larry Uteck Interchange

Traffic on Highway 102 at the Larry Uteck Interchange will be restricted to three lanes instead of four while new ramps are being built.

The closed lane will vary depending on the time. Two lanes will be open for inbound traffic in the morning and outbound traffic in the evening.

Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

Highway 101, from Exit 5 at Garlands Crossing to Exit 5A at Windsor, including the Wentworth Road overpass, is reduced to one lane for repaving until Saturday, July 31.

Sections of Route 215, from Academy Street in Maitland to the Route 236 intersection west of the bridge, are reduced to one lane for paving until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Sections of Route 236, from the intersection of Route 354 in Kennetcook to the intersection of Northfield Road, are reduced to one lane for repaving until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Sections of Trunk 2, from Shubenacadie River north to the intersection of Route 214 at Elmsdale, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Sunday, Oct. 31.

Sections of Trunk 2, from Gibb Road to the intersection of Route 244, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Saturday, July 31.

Cheticamp River Bridge on the Cabot Trail will be reduced to one lane for bridge replacement until Sunday, Oct. 31.

Murrays Hill Bridge, which crosses the Mabou River near Rankinville Road, is closed until further notice.

Red River Road in Pleasant Bay will be reduced to one lane for bridge repairs until Wednesday, June 30.

KINGS COUNTY: Bridge Closure

Traffic on the Busby McMahon Bridge on Brooklyn Street, near Aylesford, is reduced to one lane until further notice. Traffic lights are in place.

KINGS COUNTY: Hantsport

Kates Bridge, on Tannery Road in Hantsport, is closed for repairs until further notice.

A detour is available on Avon Street.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103

Highway 103 between Exit 8 and Exit 9 will be reduced to one lane for cold planing, widening of the twinned sections and paving until mid-June.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Trunk 3

Trunk 3 will have alternating lane closures for ditching and culvert installation until Friday, June 25.

Traffic control consists of a flashing light unit, barrels and traffic cones. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104, Exit 24

North Foord Street, south of Highway 104 by the ramps, will be restricted to a single lane until Tuesday, Aug. 31 to allow for construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Foord Street and Exit 24. The first phase of work consists of replacement of the sanitary sewer and installation of catch basin.

Traffic control will be on site. Expect delays and use an alternate route.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

Highway 104, near Exit 26 in Sutherlands River will have a speed zone reduction to 70 km/h for ongoing construction work for the Highway 104 twinning project. It is in effect until Sunday, July 31.

Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 106

Traffic on sections of Highway 106 in the Pictou area, from Highway 104 north to Exit 2, will be reduced to one lane for repaving and the installation of rumble strips until Saturday, July 31.

Traffic delays are expected and motorists should use caution when travelling through the construction zone.

Work takes place from 6:30 a.m., to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday and from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.

Highway 106 at Exit 2, Granton-Abercrombie Road, will be reduced to one lane for bridge repairs until Wednesday, June 30.

Traffic on sections of Route 256, from the Colchester County Line east for about five kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Wednesday, June 30.

Traffic on sections of Route 347, from Meiklefield Road south for 5.6 kilometres, and from Moose River Road south to French River Road for 2.6 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
