Grand Mira North Road, 16.5 kilometres from Route 327 will be closed for culvert repairs from Monday, Sept. 20 until Friday, Oct. 1.

Grand Lake Road will be reduced to one lane each way for road work from Sunday, Sept. 19 until Friday, Oct. 15.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Route 206

Route 206, from the intersection of Route 320 in Martinique south to Creighton Road will be reduced to one lane for ditching, cleaning culverts and paving until Friday, Nov. 12.

Traffic control is on site. An alternate route is available on Route 320. Work takes place from dawn to dusk.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Peter Campbell Bridge

Peter Campbell Bridge on the Orangedale/Iona Road is undergoing bridge replacement. A section of the road between McIvor Road and Portage will be closed, expect for local traffic from Monday, Sept. 20 until Monday, Oct. 4.

Please use alternate route if possible.

Granville Road in Port Wade will be reduced to one lane for repaving and shouldering from Monday, Sept. 20 until Sunday, Oct. 31.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, Havre Boucher Overpasses

Frankville Road and Linwood Road overpasses, on Highway 104 near Havre Boucher, have alternating lane closures for concrete repairs, joint replacement, waterproofing, until Friday, Sept. 24.

There will be timed lights at both overpasses to assist drivers through the construction zone but delays are expected. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Drivers can use Trunk 4 as an alternate route between Exit 37 (Monastery) and Exit 38 (Havre Boucher).

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337, Canal Bridge

During construction of a new Canal Bridge on Main Street in Antigonish, traffic on Route 337 is being rerouted to a temporary detour bridge.

The temporary bridge will be in place until Friday, Dec. 31.

Intervale Road at Gaspareaux Bridge will be closed to traffic for bridge maintenance until Friday, Sept. 24.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Grand Lake Road

There are lane reductions on Grand Lake Road from the traffic signals at Central Supplies to the entrance to Mayflower Mall for repaving.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset and is scheduled to be finished by the end of October. Drivers should travel with extra care in the area.

Highway 125, for about 5.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for construction until Sunday, Oct. 31.

There is a detour on Keltic Drive. Traffic control people and a vehicle are on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

Exit 5 on Highway 125 will be closed for upgrades until Sunday, Oct. 31.

A detour route is marked and drivers should use Exit 4 or Exit 5A, as directed.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Keltic Drive

Keltic Drive, from the tracks east for 20 kilometres to Sydney River Bridge, will be reduced to one lane for milling, upgrading and repaving until Friday, Oct. 15.

Traffic control personnel and a vehicle will be on site. Detour route: Highway 125 to Exit 5 and 6. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

Route 255 from Homeville/Round Island Line towards Mira Gut Bridge for about seven kilometres will be reduced to one lane for re-paving and bridge repairs until Friday, Nov. 19.

Sections of Trunk 4, from Meadows Road west to St. Mary's Church, are reduced to one lane for paving until Thursday, Sept. 30.

Highway 104 at the Cobequid Pass Toll Plaza will have a one lane closure for replacement of concrete slab until Sunday, Oct. 24.

Mines Bass River Road will be closed for bridge repairs until Friday, Jan. 31, 2011.

Porteaus Bridge on Route 246 will be closed for repairs to abutments until Friday, Sept. 24.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 326

Route 326 from Earltown to MacBains Corner will be reduced to one lane for ditching, installation of cross culverts, widening, cold planing and paving until Thursday, Sept. 30.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Trunk 2

Traffic on sections of Trunk 2 between the Truro town line and Kennedy Road will be reduced to one lane for repaving.

Work takes place from sunrise to sunset until the end of October. Drivers should expect delays or use an alternate route if possible.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fox Harbour Bridge

The Fox Harbour Bridge on Ferry Road, near Wallace, will be closed to traffic starting Monday, Sept. 30.

A temporary, one-lane detour bridge will be opened for drivers in the area during repairs to the regular bridge.

Traffic at the detour bridge will be controlled by traffic signals. Drivers should travel with caution and be prepared for delays.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Northport Bridge

Northport Bridge on Route 366 is closed until Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, for replacement.

Detour from Shinimicas Road to the east of the bridge and Mudcreek Road to the west of the bridge. Cyclists should travel with caution.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Pumping Station Road

The Pumping Station Road will be closed to through traffic between Route 204 and Hastings Road to allow for culvert replacement.

The project is scheduled for completion on Thursday, Sept. 30.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Trunk 2

Trunk 2 from Amherst town line, south for about 4.5 kilometres will be reduced to one lane for cold planing until Tuesday, Sept. 21.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Trunk 4

A 6.5 kilometre section of Trunk 4 from Wentworth Collingwood Road to Barclay Loop will be reduced to one lane for cold planing, repaving and bridge repairs until Friday, Oct. 1.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends if required.

DIGBY COUNTY: Meteghan River Bridge

Meteghan River Bridge in Digby County will be closed for construction of a permanent bridge until Wednesday, Dec. 15.

Detour on D'Entremont Road, 2nd Division Road and Placide Comeau Road.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h and warning signs are in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Trunk 7

Traffic on sections of Trunk 7 is reduced to one lane east from the intersection of MacKinley Point Loop to allow for repaving until Thursday, Sept 30.

Traffic will be directed by traffic control people and a pilot vehicle. Motorists should drive with caution through the construction area.

Trunk 16, from 3.8 kilometres west of Fox Island Road east to the Canso town line, will have alternating one lane closures for cold planing, pulverization, gravelling and re-paving until Sunday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control personnel and pilot vehicle will be on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset and for some time over the weekend.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Hubbards Bridge

Hubbards Bridge located on Trunk 3 will be closed to traffic for replacement of the bridge until Friday, Dec. 31.

A detour is available on Shankle Road.

Route 212, from 2 kilometres east of Oldham Road to Antrim Road for about 8.3 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Sunday, Oct. 31.

Sections of Trunk 3 (St. Margarets Bay Road) are reduced to one lane between Cleveland Point Road and Boutiliers Point Road for repaving.

Traffic on Highway 102 is reduced to one lane in each direction at Exit 9 (Milford) to allow for the construction of a new interchange.

Delays are possible. Drivers should exercise caution and watch for signs and traffic control people in the construction zone.

Traffic on Highway 104 near Exit 27 in Sutherlands River, is being diverted to a newly built 450-metre detour around the construction zone.

A speed limit of 70 km/h remains in place through the construction zone. The detour is expected to be in place until October.

Traffic on sections of the westbound lanes of Highway 104 in the New Glasgow, Stellarton, Westville area is reduced to one lane to allow for patching and resurfacing.

Work is taking place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Wednesday, Sept. 22. Drivers should travel with extra caution through the construction area.

MacKay Road is permanently closed at the Trans Canada Highway. Traffic from MacKay road between Trunk 4 at Linacy, and Route 347 at Coalburn, will have to use an alternate route.
