2009-10 Community Report Released

Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation (to Dec. 2012)

Nova Scotians can see how the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation is meeting its social responsibilities with a report released today, Oct. 5.

The corporation's 2009-10 Community Report provides an account of how the corporation's Social Responsibility Charter is applied to its operations.

"Managing the business of gaming in the province is a significant responsibility," said gaming corporation president and CEO, Marie Mullally. "We must operate in a way that earns and maintains trust and respect of all citizens and our Social Responsibility Charter guides us in achieving this essential outcome."

The report outlines more than 30 commitments that were made during 2009-10 and includes the status and results of each as it relates to the five pillars established under the gaming corporation's charter: responsible gambling, integrity and security, citizens and communities, corporate governance, and stakeholder relationships.
