My Nova Scotia Campaign to Include Early Round of Winners

Economic and Rural Development and Tourism (Jan. 2011 - April 2015)

NOTE: A schedule of dates, times and venues follows this release.

An early round of winners will be chosen in the My Nova Scotia regional tourism campaign.

The Department of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism is searching for talented Nova Scotians to star in a television promotion, airing this summer in the Maritimes.

A jury panel will choose a few lucky winning auditions for commercials that will begin airing May 9. To be considered for the early selections, entrants must upload their video to novascotia.com by March 28. Early bird auditions will have a chance to win an iPad.

If people can not produce their own video, the campaign is coming to a venue near them.

The My Nova Scotia audition bus will hit the road Monday, April 4 for the campaign launch in Yarmouth, and travel to 13 more destinations across the province.

The judges want to see star power, and learn what people love most about this beautiful province.

Twenty-one Nova Scotians will be featured in the campaign. The contest ends May 2.
