COLCHESTER COUNTY: Trunk 2

Beginning Monday, Aug. 15, traffic on Trunk 2 near Hildon will be reduced to one lane, from the intersection of Kennedy Road to the railway crossing, for road improvements.

Work takes place from dawn until dusk until Sunday, Aug. 21. Drivers should expect delays and use extra caution in the area.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Alton Road

On Sunday, Aug. 14, traffic on Alton Road will be reduced to one lane from north of the intersection of Stewiacke Road for 500 metres to the north to allow for paving. Work takes place from dawn until dusk and is expected to take one day to complete.

Drivers should expect delays and use extra caution in the area.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 376

Beginning Sunday, Aug. 14, traffic on sections of Route 376 will be reduced to one lane from the intersection of Route 256 to the intersection of Durham Road to allow for paving.

Work takes place from dawn until dusk until Sunday, Aug. 21. Drivers should expect delays and use extra caution in the area.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: CN Rail Crossings

There will be detours at the following CN Rail Crossings for maintenance. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Stuart Lake Bridge

Stuart Lake Bridge on Terra Nova Road will be closed for bridge replacement from Monday, Aug. 15, until Friday, Sept. 2.

Clarence Road, from Fitch Road intersection west for three kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culvert replacement, milling, patching and shouldering until Monday, Oct. 31.

Trunk 8, from Virginia Road intersection south for three kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for road work until Monday, Oct. 31.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Trunk 10

Trunk 10, from Crisp Road intersection south for 4.5 kilometres, and from West Dalhousie Road intersection south for 9.3 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culvert replacement and paving until Monday, Oct. 31.

Traffic control on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: George Street

Work on a section of George Street, near the Highway 125 overpass, will take place until Monday, Aug. 15.

Traffic control people will be on site. Expect delays caused by trucks leaving and entering traffic stream. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

Highway 125, eastbound lanes from Meadow Brook Road to Exit 4 for about 11.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sections of Hillside Road will be reduced to one lane until Monday, Oct. 31, for repaving north from the intersection of Route 327. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Route 216

Route 216, from Trunk 4, west for about seven kilometres will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Friday, Sept. 30.

Work takes place from daylight to dusk.

Sections of Trout Brook Road will be reduced to one lane until Monday, Oct. 31, for repaving west from the intersection of Trunk 22. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4 (Grand Lake Road)

A section of Grand Lake Road (Trunk 4) will be reduced to one lane until Wednesday, Aug. 31, for repaving near the eastern entrance to Mayflower Mall. Drivers should use extra caution in the area.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Route 289 - Springside

Route 289 from Junction 336 (Springside) east for six kilometres will be reduced to one lane for paving until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Work takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Station Road - Londonderry

Station Road, Londonderry, will be reduced to one lane for patching and repaving until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Allan Hill and South Branch Roads

Allan Hill and South Branch roads in the Advocate area have a weight restriction of five tonnes until further notice.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Fields Bridge

Improvements are being made to the Fields Bridge on Shulie Road, but it will be open during construction. The work takes place until Nov. 15, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Highway 104

Highway 104 will be reduced to one lane for crack filling and surfacing from Exit 6 east for about seven kilometres until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Work takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Northport Bridge

Northport Bridge on Route 366 is closed until late August, while it is replaced.

A detour is available from Shinimicas Road to east of the bridge and Mudcreek Road to west of the bridge. Cyclists should travel with caution.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Parrasboro

Blue Sac Road in Parrsboro will be reduced to one lane for culvert installation until Monday, Oct. 31.

DIGBY COUNTY: Dick Theriault Road

The bridge on Dick Theriault Road, about two kilometres southeast of the old DAR crossing, is closed for repairs. There is no detour. Transportation officials will be on site 24 hours a day until the bridge is repaired.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 kilometres per hour and warning signs are in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 316

Route 316, from 4.7 kilometres west of Trunk 16 to about one kilometre west of the White Head Road, will have alternating lane closures for upgrading, cold planing an repaving until Monday, Oct. 31.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 103, Lane Closure

Traffic on the Halifax-bound lanes of Highway 103 will be reduced to one lane at Exit 5 (Tantallon) to allow for resurfacing.

Some work will begin at 7 a.m. daily and the full lane closure will begin after 9 a.m. Delays are possible. Drivers should travel with extra caution in the area. Work is scheduled for completion on Monday, Aug. 15.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Mooseland

Mooseland Road will be reduced to one lane for patching and repaving until Monday, Oct. 31.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Portland Street

Portland Street, from the second entrance to Penhorn Mall to Woodlawn Road, will have lane closures for repairs until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

The work will be done at night from sunset to sunrise. Some work will be completed in the day during off peak hours.

Trunk 7, Sheet Harbour will be reduced to one lane for paving until Monday, Oct. 31.

Trunk 7, from Moosehead to Moser River, will be reduced to one lane for drain improvements and repaving until Monday, Oct. 31.

The William Port Connector will be reduced to one lane until Thursday, Sept. 1, for road widening to install a turning lane into a new school.

Murrays Hill Bridge, which crosses the Mabou River near Rankinville Road, is closed until further notice.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Trunk 19

Trunk 19, for about 6.5 kilometres from Campbell's Road to south of Chishom Road, and River Deny's Road, for about two kilometres from Trunk 19, will be reduced to one lane for cold planing and asphalt repairs until Monday, Oct. 31.

Pilot vehicle and traffic control people will be on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

KINGS COUNTY: Bridge Closure

Traffic on the Busby McMahon Bridge on Brooklyn Street, near Aylesford, is reduced to one lane until further notice. Traffic lights are in place.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101, Exit 12

Traffic on Highway 101, is reduced to one lane at Exit 12 (New Minas) for bridge repairs until Monday, Aug. 15.

Drivers should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

PICTOU COUNTY: Ferry Road

Ferry Road, from the Three Brooks Road to Highway 106, about a half kilometre, will be reduced to one lane for road work until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Drivers should expect delays. Traffic control people on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Highway 104, from Exit 22 west to Exit 20, about six kilometres will be reduced to one lane for crack filling and micro-surfacing until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

Two temporary intersections are in use on Highway 104, Trans-Canada Highway, near Sutherlands River.

One is located about 70 metres west of the Exit 27A intersection. To access Trunk 4, use this temporary intersection.

The other intersection is on School Road in front of East Pictou Middle School. To access School Road, including F. H. MacDonald Elementary School and East Pictou Middle School, use this temporary intersection.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

Sections of the eastbound lanes of Highway 104, from the Pictou-Colchester county line, east for about 9.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Motorists are advised that there will be a speed zone reduction from 110 km/h to 80 km/h when travelling through the two kilometre work zone.

Highway 104 from about one kilometre west of French River Bridge east six kilometres to Broadway Bridge will be reduced to one lane for crack filling and micro-surfacing until Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Highway 105 from about three kilometres west of Exit 11 for about six kilometres will be reduced one lane for paving.

Highway 105 from Exit 11 to Exit 12 for about four kilometres will be reduced to one lane for paving.

Work is expected to end on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

Traffic on the MacLeod Angus Bridge in South Harbour over the South Aspy River on the Cabot Trail, is reduced to one lane until further notice. Traffic signals are in place at the bridge.

The Rear Forks Baddeck Cross Road, from Big Baddeck Road to West Side Baddeck Road will be closed for bridge repairs until Tuesday, Aug. 16.
