Product Recall Announced

Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation

The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation today, Nov. 17, recalled all Woody's Vodka Coolers and suspended sales in all stores after glass was detected in some of the bottles in Manitoba and Ontario.

Woody's brand Mexican Lime Vodka Cooler was recalled earlier this week. It is a precautionary measure, as no glass has been found in these products in Nova Scotia.

The five products being recalled today are:

  • Woody's Sasparilla 330ml
  • Woody's Pink Grapefruit 330ml
  • Woody's Orangetini 330ml
  • Woody's Pomtini 330ml
  • Woody's Refresher 330ml

Customers returning full or partially full bottles of the products to the NSLC will receive a full refund. The Woody's Coolers product line will not return to store shelves until the NSLC is confident the issue has been resolved.

The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, the largest single banner retail business in Nova Scotia, generates more than half a billion dollars of revenue a year, returning more than $200 million profit annually to the province. It employs more than 1,500 Nova Scotians, offering more than 7,000 products from around the globe through 159 retail outlets, and 2,100 licensees.
