Two lucky Nova Scotians can now hunt and fish in the province for the rest of their lives without having to buy another fishing, small game or deer-hunting licence.

The departments of Natural Resources and Fisheries and Aquaculture announced today, Dec. 19, that Timothy Densmore of Riversdale, Colchester Co. and Raymond Hodgson of Churchville, Pictou Co. have won the 19th annual Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters Licence of a Lifetime Lottery.

"For so many generations Nova Scotians have had the fortune of world-class hunting and fishing opportunities right here at home," said Minister of Natural Resources Charlie Parker. "This year two gentlemen have the added fortune of lifelong passes to enjoy both of these activities."

"Sportfishing is one Nova Scotia's most popular outdoor activities, and it will always be an ideal way to experience the beauty of our waterways," said Sterling Belliveau Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture. "There are many residents from one end of our province to the other who love the outdoors and would count themselves lucky to hook a prize like this."

"We would like to thank the departments of Natural Resources and Fisheries and Aquaculture for their support of this draw and we wish the winners continued safe hunting and angling," said Tony Rodgers, executive director of the Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters.

The prizes were donated by the two government departments.
