Juno-nominated Hey Rosetta to Headline Tall Ships Concert

Juno-nominated Hey Rosetta will be the headline act for a concert on Georges Island on Saturday, July 21.

The concert will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with additional acts to be announced as they are confirmed.

"This is a rare opportunity to experience some incredible music in the middle of the harbour, with the spectacular backdrop of tall ships," said Colin MacLean, president and CEO, Waterfront Development. "This is rare opportunity to visit Georges Island, and immerse yourself in our renowned maritime culture."

Waterfront Development is partnering with Captain Morgan to present the event.

The concert is one of a number of whirlwind summer performances for Newfoundland's Hey Rosetta!, who will also play the Hangout Festival, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

Tickets, for those 19 years of age of older, will go on sale online at noon, Friday, June 8, at www.my-waterfront.ca. General admission tickets will cost $30 with an additional $10 transportation fee, plus HST and service fees. A limited number of VIP tickets will cost $70, plus $10 transportation fee plus HST and service fees.

Only 2,000 general admission tickets are available and will be sold first-come, first-serve.

The Tall Ships Nova Scotia event will take place July 19–23 in Halifax. The ships will sail to ports around the province July 25–29. For event information, visit www.my-waterfront.ca .
